Early Ups and Creating Havoc.
I was swinging through Killington today and noticed all the new collateral is out...trail maps, winter guides etc... I picked up a few and they all look great. A whole lot of Bret W. and Kubas enjoying real deep snow from last years stellar season. Chris D. and his staff went the extra mile with the photography last winter...getting me up to the snowboard park before sunrise with a bunch lights and athletes in tow, getting me two great kids who rip, holding off the opening of Bear Mt so we can shoot powder before the public demolishes it, getting us early ups at Pico after a 14-16 inch dump, to creating havoc at the Wobbly Barn. I think the results payed off BIG. Much thanks to Chris D and Killington for the opportunity.

Here is a Burton video from the Northstar-at-Tahoe "stash" park.

Landed the cover shot on the trail map. 2nd year running. Bret W. enjoying.

Killington is opening a Burton sponsored "stash" park this year. It's going to be sick! I saw a stash park out at Northstar-at-Tahoe this past winter and it's just nutz, should be real fun, might even get me back on a snowboard and into the park. One question, how are they going to blow snow in the woods and get a cat in there? Humm.

FREESKIER.
It's been a good month for getting ski images published. Just got the latest issue of Freeskier in the mail yesterday and chalk up another shot from Jay Peak. This time it was Brian Keet in some of the deepest snow I'd ever seen on the East Coast. The image kinda blends in with the ad below it, but I think it still works. Funny thing about the ad below the image, it's for another out west ski area...hummm...do you think Freeskier is trying to tell me something as well???

Pink Flamingo?
Got another magazine in the mail this afternoon. This one is the Ski Vermont promo piece they put out every year. I shot a feature for this years magazine which I think turned out great. The designers over at Methodikal really pimped it out. I also have a few other shots inside including a sweet double page spread of Kubas and a pink flamingo and cool shot I took at the US Grand-Prix of Snowboarding held at Killington.

Summer is gone.
Last post I was wondering if summer was gone, well I'm pretty sure it is. The second wave of the ski magazines are hitting the newsstands and mailboxes and we're supposed to get the first freeze of the season tomorrow night. CRYPES! Just like last year and the year before that I feel like I've missed most of the summer. Oh well. In this months Powder Magazine I have two East Coast shots. One of Ben Kubas from Killington and one from Sunday River. As a bonus, I got a text from my friend Tim N. from SLC last night saying he saw both images, so they must be running all across the country. Sweet! It's funny, both shots are in the "Resort Guide" East Coast section of the magazine and both have West Coast ski area ads to the right of them...do you think Powder is telling me something? Like I should move back out to Utah for the winter? Hummm.

Is Summer Gone?
Just a quick blurb. I have one small shot in the new issue of Backcountry Magazine. Nothing major but it is the first ski/snowboard shot of the season...which means two things, summer is almost over and winter can't be far away. SHIT, is it me or does it feel like summer just started last month?

Upper Valley Life.
Came home yesterday to the newest issue of Upper Valley Life in my mailbox. As mentioned in the last post, I shot a feature for them on the Billings Farm National Historic Site, right here in downtown Woodstock, Vermont. They layout and story looks great. Unless you live local you won't be able to pick up a copy so I'll supply a few tears from the magazine.
