The East is Dead.

The November issue if Skiing is out and if you live east of the Mississippi you can check out two of my shots. Both images are from the Sunday River Heat Harvest 3 and are located in the East section of the magazine. That made 3 shots from the SRHH3 to be published this season, which will cover my costs to shoot the event and even put a little extra in my pocket, always a good thing. On a sad note, I heard a rumor that Skiing Magazine is dropping the "East Coast" section of their publication. That is never a good thing if you are an East Coast ski photographer. Oh well.

**UPDATE**
The East is dead for now, just got word from Skiing Magazine that they are indeed dropping the East section from their publication.

HERB KAVET

Months ago I shot a book cover for Herb Kavet...HERE.  Well, in the mail the other day I received my copy compliments of Herb.  I haven't started reading it yet but I did notice that Herb gave me a big thank you in the acknowledgments.  Thanks to you Herb.  Take a look at Herb's book HERE and HERE.

7 Days Cover.

Just a quick post and write-up today.  Last week I shot a story for 7 Days, a local Burlington newspaper.  Cool thing is I landed the cover...the story is cool as well. It profiles a business in Stockbridge that you wouldn't necessarily expect to find in the woods of central Vermont.  You can read the article HERE.  A big thanks goes out to writer Kirk Kardashian for thinking of me to shoot the story.

Tahoe Revisited.

So more cool stuff keeps rolling into the office.  This time it's the October issue of Backcountry Magazine.  Mike Horn and I teamed up again for a feature story on the Lake Tahoe Basin and the pressures that population growth and pollution have had on the lake.  You can review my trip to Tahoe HERE and revisit the other Horn/Cash feature on skiing in the Chic-Choc's of Quebec HERE.  Below are a few tears from the magazine, but I suggest you go out and find a copy for yourself (pgs. 64-69) or subscribe to the magazine HERE.  And on a side note if you haven't seen Backcountry Magazines redesigned website it's worth checking out HERE.

Outside Magazine.

Got another magazine in the mail yesterday.  This time not a ski mag but Outside Magazine and their bi-annual buyers guide issue for all things winter.  The magazine reviews everything you might need for winter in a snowy climate, and I have to say they do it quite well.  Everything from snowshoes to backcountry touring boots.  What's cool is that I have one of the only full page ski shots in the entire magazine.  Once again it's Kubas getting the nod from Jay Peak.
