Busy...Busy...Busy
It finally stopped raining and the phone started ringing. First it was Killington, then it was Jay Peak, then it was Killington again, throw in a quick feature for Upper Valley Life magazine, and finish with a few image orders from some magazines and what you have is a busy week. First up was Chris D. and the fun and exciting shoot over at the Killington/Pico Adventure Center. (putt-putt, alpine slide, horses, bungee things and waterfalls) Next up was a trip over to the Billings Farm National Historic Site for Upper Valley Life. What a beautiful place. Turns out the farm was the first commercial butter factory in the United States. Who knew? After a quick dump of compact flash cards I filled up the Explorer and headed North for two days of shooting with Steve W. and Jay Peak. Lots going on up there. Construction on a new hotel is underway and the golf course is growing in great. When I first arrived to town, US Senator Patrick Leahy was there to take a tour of the construction and drop off a quick 8 million for rural development. After a whole bunch of golf images and "local flavor" images I was back in the car heading south for Killington again and an early wake-up call to shoot their golf course. A few hours spent grabbing some new takes on the course and I was heading home. Done.

Under Stormy Skies.
For those of you who are local you know how much it's been raining. In fact it's rained every day since the 18th of July. Raining so much that rivers are busting their banks and washing out roads all over the state. This morning looked promising for some sunshine and after a quick check of the radar it looked like we might have an hour or two before the rain started again. A quick call to now National Champion Downhiller Ben Kubas and it was on. We were going to be shooting some mountain biking at Killington. I brought my kit of lights and fired away under the constant rumbling of thunder to our south and threating clouds overhead. We didn't stay long because the lights and rain don't mix at all! We did manage to nail a few good shots and we found a few other things we're going to shoot when and if the weather ever breaks. Enjoy a few below.
