A quick one from Utah.

From under cold and rainy skies here in Vermont I am revisiting my recent trip to Utah once again.  This image is of an old acquaintance, Ben Wheeler ripping a big ole turn in the Alta backcountry.  Strangely enough I met Ben way back in 2001 while we were both doing a little skiing (I was riding) for the camera at a small resort just south of Tahoe called Dodge Ridge.  This image is also being used by one of my web marketing portals, Wonderful Machine, on their Blackbook page, HERE.

Happy Memorial Day.

I live in a small town in East-central Vermont.  We have a village green, multiple white church steeples and a local farmers market every Wednesday.  We also have parades.  Parades for every occasion.  Parades in all seasons, even the dead of winter - no joke.  Yesterday after a thunderous boom I heard a little ruckus out my door.  Sure enough a parade marching right on by.  Grabbed a few shots.

Nothing like seeing a civil war cannon roll right on by your front door on a Saturday morning.

Spring Green.

Something about the color of the leaves when they first come out. It's a green you only see for those two weeks every year. Here are a few shots of the green I grabbed while fishing on the Black River in Weathersfield. The light hitting the trees made them glow. Unfortunately the fishing was less then stellar as myself and Chris D. from Killington got skunked on the day. (although Chris was a little slow setting the hook on a nice brown - a few times)

Fish On.

You always know spring has sprung when the trout start rising.  Caught two on a dry fly yesterday evening down on the Black River.  The Hendricksons were abundant but the trout were fickle.

All images shot with a Canon powershot SD 750.

Twins and Cows.

The leaves are just starting to pop and work is starting to pick up again after an easy mudseason.  I have a few busy months ahead with shoots in the works for Killington and other clients but took the past few days off to visit with my Niece and Nephew who were in town.  They are the ripe old age of 17 months and full of energy.  We took them over to Billings Farm to see the cows, sheep and chickens.  I don't think they knew what to make of the cows at first but after a few encounters they were a little more comfortable.
