Sliding @ Killington
Just a perfect late fall day here in Vermont. For fun I headed up to the big K to make some turns. Brought along the point and shoot. This time of year the sun is so low in the sky it's almost dark by 2:00. Makes for some flat light riding conditions but cool shadows and highlights on the mountain.

Cover.
Ready to make some cookies and cakes for the holidays? The folks over at King Arthur Flour sure hope you are. I shot this catalog cover for them this past summer in New Hampshire. Didn't get to eat any of these tasty cookies but if memory serves me correct we did order out some sweet burritos for lunch.

Sue Thayer
From time to time I take freelance gigs. This particular call came from 7 Days, a local newspaper out of Burlington. They sent me over to the Rutland District Courthouse to cover a rally for Sue Thayer. Ms. Thayer is currently in a legal battle over some pot plants she was growing for her ill sons. You can read about her story HERE.

Published XL
Took a trip up north last week to catch up with Jay Peak Resort. Jay Peak was nice enough to allow my new venture StokeLab.com to give away a season pass for the 2010-11 season. You can get all the details on how to enter here: www.stokelab.com/jaypeak-pass-giveaway
On my way out I saw these. Posters made from a few of my shots I snapped last season. Took a few home and they are now hanging in the office.

New Work Published.
Kirk K. and I teamed up last winter to work on a story for The Ski Journal. This time around we looked into the world of senior ski racers in New England. 60, 70, 80 year olds putting on speed suits, helmets and armour to race every weekend. The editors didn't exactly use the images I thought they would but that shit happens from time to time. Still think it looks good.

Bonfire
I grabbed this cool image from the Green Mountain College trick-or-treat rail jam this past Saturday. This year the college partnered with the Killington Economic Development & Tourism Commission to add a bonfire to the mix. The fire department struggled a little to get it going (apparently they are a little better at putting out fires then starting) but when they did it was a nice addition to the evening.
