Two resorts, one afternoon.

Justin Reyher and Mike Horn, of Backcountry Magazine fame took a little road trip to central Vermont to meet me for an afternoon of skiing at Ascutney Mountain.  I thought it would be a good idea to check out Ascutney since it is practically in my backyard and none of us had skied it before.   Unfortunately, even with some fresh snow and sunny and warm skies only the bottom third of the mountain was open.  After three runs the boredom set in and we decided to bail.  Where too?  Okemo?  Suicide Six?  Being that it was MLK weekend and the crowds were sure to be big at Okemo we decided on the Six - right here in Woodstock.  After three great runs at the Six and 1950 feet of vertical under our belts we decided to call it a day and go quench our thirst.  Here are a few snapshots.

The one and only lift running at Ascutney and they made you get off at the mid-station??
Mike Horn, snowboarder, dam glad to meet you.
Justin Reyher...or is it....Tom Peete?
